service learning comments
I was frustrated when nothing would happening. Like nothings getting done yet. I think that we need to start getting the people who is in charge of contacting the Constitution Center to find out if we are allowed to plant our flowers there. I'm starting to look up how much the flower pots would cost if need the big kind. And to see how much the dirt would cost to see how many pounds of dirt would be needed and if I know how big the pots are going to be then i can find out how much dirt we would need and then how many bags of dirt he would need.

DEBATE 5/22/08
TO DAY KATEY AND SHARDE WENT AGAISNT EACH OTHER IN DEBATING ON WHETHER SLAVERY SHOULD BE ABOLISHED OR NOT.
KATEY DID GOOD COUKD HAD WON IF SHE WOULD HAD ATTACKED SHARDE'S ARGUMENT BETTER WHEN DOING CROSS EXAMINATION. BUT OVER ALL I THINK THAT KATE DID GOOD I VOTED FOR HER BUT SHARDE WON BECAUSE SHE HAD MORE EVIDENCE THEN SHE DID.
LATER ON MARCUS AND AMBER WENT UP AND EVERY ONE THOUGHT THAT AMBER WAS GOING TO WIN BUT SHE DIDN'T BECAUSE SHE WAS TO NERVOUS IT GOT IN HER WAY IN HER ASKING GOOD QUESTIONS AND STUMBLE WHILE READING HER INTRO. MARCUS WAS GOOD HE COULD HAD DONE SOME MORE OF ASKING DIFFERENT QUESTIONS BUT THE ONE HE WAS ASKING HER WAS GOOD BECAUSE SHE KEPT BEATING AROUND THE BUSH. BUT OVER ALL SHE WAS GOOD AND SO WAS MARCUS.

It states that in the article that in Apirl a new poll revealed that 81 percent of the American people believe that the country is on the "wrong track". In the 25 years that pollsters have asled this question, last month's response was by far the most negative. It is also stated that the war in Iraq and the on going threat of terrorism. But the facts on the ground-unemployment numbers foreclosure rates, deaths from terror attacks- are simply not dire enough to explain to present atomosphere of malaise. I figure that meaning that it is just making things even worse bring on terror attacks, and that lives are being taking away.

last week's reflections on service learning
Last week while we were stuck inside the building because it was raining. So we were talking about what we are going to do like for the pots we are going to buy how much will it cost? How much dirt we are going to use and how much that is going to cost. Talking what people's roles were and how and where are we going to find the money to do all of this? Also where are going to put it?
